Default Squirrel mounting

I am trying to mount a squirrel and discoverd that around the mouth the lip has split away form the hide. I have not tanned it yet to mount but was wondering if there is a way to fix that problem or just need to use another squirrel?

If Im understandin you right, After i got it on the mannikin, i would use a little Zap-a-gap/Super glue and just carefully glue the lip/hide juncture to the mannikin as best i could. then use a little apoxie and smooth in the lip line, then paint.
