Swapping buck antlers????

ok, odd question, and maybe not even pratical, but if you had a buck mounted and second quessed yourself about having him mounted, could you take the rack from another deer and put it on the the mount in question? Baiscally rack swaping. How hard would it be to have done if possible?

Your better off to keep it and just buy a cape for the one you want mounted, and then have it mounted. I have redone more than a few, because they looked like crap or were very old (not to swap antlers) I always just get a new cape. Rehydrating the cape and tearing it apart, getting the antlers out and the new ones reset then sewing it back up etc. I'd charge at least full price of a new mount, and most likely alot more. with no garuntee of the outcome.

Depends on the mounting method. If the hide has been tanned, and not Dry Preserved, then yes you can. I have done it several times.
