First attempt at mounting

This was my first year taking a deer and I thought that being my wife won't allow a full mount that I'd have to try mounting the horns on a plaque. It turned out alright...especially being that I have no clue what I'm really doing!! I'm going to get a small brass plate below the horns indicating the date and location of the shot.

You should have done a shoulder mount of that guy and hung it in the bedroom. ITOLD my boyfriend that's where my pronghorn is going to go!!! no ifs, ands, or buts about it!

i know how ya feel about the wife not letting do a full mount mine was like that an she didnt want me hanging the ones i had done already till i started packing my stuff then she was cool with it

Looks good! is that a kit or did you make that yourself? It looks like leather covering the skull plate.
