Default Preparing antlers for a mount

I harvested a nice 6-point yesterday and would like tomount the antlers. Is there any special preparationof the antlers or skull plate that I shouldperform. I've removed the skin and hair. I see some moisture rolling-off already (like when your salting a hide).

Default RE: Preparing antlers for a mount

Remove all the meat and hang up and let the skull plate dry out
