Default Flehming Deer Mounts

Has anyone ever done a flehming deer mount or have photos of one? I was going to have mine done in a full sneak open mouth but the largest that the manikin comes in is a 21 and my buck was " a big deer and a 23" LOL. The taxidermist has never done the flehming before but is going to practice on a seperate on and let me see it before doing mine. I am very curious to see what one looks like. Thanks

A Flehmen mount can be done with a variety of poses. The only difference will be the head being tilted up and of course the Flehmen mouthpiece/nose. An image search should show a few pictures. Most often they are done in either a semi sneak or full sneak pose. I'm not sure I understand the difficulty in finding the right form. It shouldn't be too hard to find a 23" form, and at the very least one can be modified to fit.

Your taxidermist can purchase a Joe Meder Flehman kit and install it on any form he desires.....McKenzie sells it.

I have no clue that is why I am paying someone to do it. He has been doing taxidermy for over 30 yrs. I guess he knows what he is talking about. I hope he knows what he is talking about.
