Default Doodle mount

Bagged a nice female woodcock the last day of the NYS season thanks to my pooch, Truman the wonder beagle

I"m going to get it mounted but I"m not really sure what position to have it put in. I told my guy to make her walking, taking a step, but now I"m thinking about having her sitting. I"ve never had one of these mounted so I"m looking for suggestions from folks that have or if there is a "standard" position for mounting a woodcock.

Default RE: Doodle mount

They are really not an action bird , just a simple base with peat moss and dry leafs , in a standng position looks good.
