Default Need Help

Hello everyone I am and always have been interested in taxidermy and Oklahoma doesn't offer any kind of schooling that I know of. With my job and other circumstances I can't move out of state to attend a school for it.I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how I should get started. Please let me know. Anything would be great.

Thanks, Chris

Best advise I can give you.... go to www.taxidermy.net then go to the links at the top of the page, find the state association section, find OK and find out about joining. Once you're a member, doors kinda open. The NCTA is set up to help people. It's like $25/yr but I couldn't have paid 10x's that much for the friends and knowledge that I have gained. Other then that, register at above site and read and ask questions in the beginners catagory. Also in the links catagory you'll find supplier, order some catalogs and then videos. It is a really fun hobby for me, but one word of caution, when you start doing work CHARGE FOR IT. So many newcomers, price low and get slammed. They work hours and hours for no money and get burned out. Remember that if nothing else.
