Before buying the beetles, make sure you have an adequate place for them in a temperature controlled environment. Also make sure you have an ample supply of skulls to keep them busy. I've had my beetles for over a year now. They multiplied very quickly from 40 to well over a 1000,to where I had to rid of 1/2 of them. Once you have a strong colony started with a good and secure cage, they're very nice to have around for taxidermy use.
