Default How am I doing??

I'm in my second year of doing taxidermy as a hobby to supplement my income as a firefighter. I've been mounting mostly whitetail, but I've done a few elk, bear, coyote, etc.

I ended up doing 26 deer last year in my spare time and I just finished up #45 for this year.

How am I doing for a "rookie"?

Here is an elk I did a few months ago. This was my second attempt at an elk. I used sheds on this mount.

I think they look great. What kind of forms do you like using, McKenzie, Coombs, etc. ?

I purchase almost everything from McKenzie.......and try to only use Meder forms for whitetail. I do purchase a few deer forms from Research because I like their "not quite 90" pose.

I'm going to try to use only Meder forms next year because I feel they are by far the most accurate.

Thanks all for the comments. I feel I've come a long way in just a couple of years.
