Default hair on hide tanning???

I have recently just read a book about tanning hides. It doesn't sound too difficult, just time consuming. My goal is to take a bobcat, and tan the hide to make a small rug, similar to a bear skin rug. Anyways, I'd be interested in getting any kind of advice I can from those with experience in this area. Thanks.

Default RE: hair on hide tanning???

Start with squirrels. There are alot of steps, to do it right. A bobcat is one of the top 3 for hair slippage. It's not a terribly big deal, it's just steps. You can order a kit from McKenzies Taxidermy supply or a local taxidermist can order it for you.
