Looks like you are getting your moneys worth.
Great eye on that buck!
Looks fantastic for a regular commercial mount.
Nice fish too(even though it isn't yours)

Its referred to as carding. Some guys choose to apply this to accentuate details or muscle tone, others feel this is needed to control shrinkage and drumming.

Looks OK to me, Although the left eye seems to need to come forward more, it is showing too much the white sclerical band, or maybe it is the angle of the pic ?

What say you Bill Yox.?

Alex, youare more brave of a man then I am! Theres no way in hell Im going to judge any of the mounts in these forums. Sometimes its someof the worst looking mounts receiving the praise of the majority, so my opinion doesnt matter. Besides, having judged as long as I have, and in as many places, chances are I might know the person doing the work, and I dont wanna offend anyone. Alex, I know you know what I mean.

I guessfrom looking atthe work I see inthese forums, manyhave major placement problems, and with filler method of ears, other trouble too. Between alignment, basic anatomy, and finish work, well, you get the picture. Id say this much, that some of the work in these forums is pretty smooth and looks like good quality and craftmanship, and isnt that really what guys are wanting, especially when theyre trying to equate price and time frame into the picture. That these guys proudly post their mount pics proves theyre happy with the results, which is what its all about, so Im not rocking any boats!
