Hey everyone just wanted to share a few pics of mounts, my taxidermists do a great job and I figured I'd show their work off a bit....

The first picture is a whitetail I killed with a bow a few years ago.

Nice eye representation on that whitetail.
The first thing I look at to judge a mount is the eye.

looks good ; the eyes and ears are what I look at.
the horns are nice also.I like to take the weird ones.

DJBAD, I got the sika in Maryland, eastern shore. I use a different taxidermist for my sikas as guys who don't have much experience with them rarely get the "look" right. here is a picture of him when I shot him.




And here is a picture of the mount:

OOH! that's a sitika deer? i was like y would you mount an elk that was that small!? lol nice sitika deer, i hear that they dont get very big, congrats!

Squirrelkilla, its actually a SIKA deer, a small ***enese relative of the elk. A SITKA deer is a subspecies of blacktail if I am correct....
