Default European mount

I have a few questions on the European mount. yesterday i shot a pretty nice buck but not one that i wanted a full head mount. and i took it to the butcher and they wanted my cape so i said no problem and they said that they were going to give me the scull and horns back. now i was thinking on the European mount since im getting the scull back. what do i need to do. can i do it myself? i have no clue on what to do. i was thinking on boiling the scull to get the meat off? and putting it on a plaque. or is this something i would have to have someone else to do? any help would be great. thanks

Default RE: European mount

You'll wanna boil it, then scrape off all the meat(inside and outside). Then bleach it, be sure not to get any on the horns but if you do, use a wood stain to change the color back. I see you're from Altoona, i'm from huntingdon and i know of people in the area that have used flesh eating beatles to clean up the skulls. i'll ask around about the beatlesand get back to you.
