Default how do I do an antler mount?

My local taxidermist moved and so I would like to do my own antler mount. Anyone know of a website with the info on how to do this. Just a simple mount with a velvet cap cover is all I'm looking for.
thanks

Default RE: how do I do an antler mount?

wal-mart has the mt. kit.
just skin around the horns ,cut all the meat off, salt it real good.hang it up for a few days , wip the salt off.leave it till dry. then just screw it to the plaque that you got at wal-mart then put the velvet cap over it. your done.

when you get the plaque it has some directions with it.it's really not hard to do.

good luck, and congrats. on getting you deer.
