Default Fox tail

I shot a fox about 3 weeks to a month ago andi cut off the tail, i've had it in salt out in my shed but i figured it was about ready to come in but when i went out there to get it, it smelt really bad. I was wonderin if theres anything i can put on it or spray on it to get rid of the smell...

Hmmm...about the only thing left to do now is make the garbage stink. Its really not a taxidermy procedure to know that you have to get rid of the tail bone and meat from a skin. Salt couldnt help you there. Next time, rather than waste a fox, check and see what to do beforehand. You could probably get a pro to do it for you reasonably, rather then not know and have it spoil like this. Good luck to you for next time.
