Default getting into it...

Hey all,
I have a friend that is looking to get into taxidermy. We are up in BC, Canada, and I am curious as to how you guys got into it. Is it a ticketed trade? Did you take a course/goto school? Did you have an apprentice?

How long wold you say it takes to learn how to mount a deer, do a bear hide, etc?

Thanks for you help.

I learned mainly though the School of Hard Knocks. Ordered a few videos from Taxidermy Supply companies, and asked a lot of questions.
