Default other bugs in beetle colony

I have a skull that I air dried out in the back yard before putting it in with my beetles but the flys got to it and now there are maggots on it. Will other insects harm my beetle colony?

Default RE: other bugs in beetle colony

Last year I did about a dozen skulls and had maggots and some black beetles in with my dermestids without any problem.
