Id wait a little bit on this one. The school is great. My neighbor went there and he does great mounts. But.. right now in the state of PA you need to be certified and licensed to become a taxidermist. There is a bill floating around the state house trying to change that regulation to anyone who wants to be a taxidermist can. Without the certification. Just need to apply for a license over the counter and bang.. youre a taxidermist.

I would still go. Im sure there is a lot you can learn. I used to work for a taxidermist when i was in high school. I learned alot, but it wasnt for me.

I don't know if given the chance again I would put 40 years into Taxidermy as I have done.

I left Medicine to pursue my Hunting and fishing desires, I know i put my family through some difficult times at the beginning, it takes many years to become profficient in taxidermy, even with schooling, also taxidermy is not all that you have to count on, you need management skills and accounting skills.
Knowing what to buy and keep on hand to make a quick buck.

I would buy a book about this subject, Archie Phillips offers a good one at that.

Today I make more money in Real Estate and buying and selling mortgage notes than I ever did in Taxidermy.
