Here is some free advise for you young hunters.

I got married when I was 19, i had 5 deer dogs, the wife thought I was spending too much time with the dogs , cleaning the pen and bathing them when I got from work.

She gave me an alternative one day, " she said the dogs or me", I turned around and started to put the dogs in my pick up, she said who are you going to give them to, I said "nobody".

So she said " what are you doing then?" I said "Iam leaving you" she started crying andI started collecting my clothes and things.

so she laid in front of the truck so I couldn't leave, she then helped me put them back in the pen.

I was sent to boot camp and vietnam, when I returned my dogs were there and a new pen was built by her father, he he he.
We beeing happily married for 38 years.

Great story Alex.
My wife isn't big into having a "trophy" living room, but I just hung my deer head up. I guess it grew on her... Then, over the past couple of years I picked up a couple of NWTF prints that just so happen to match out couch, recliner, & curtains! I guess I am a good interior decorator, because she let me put those up too!
I still haven't gotten through to her on letting me hang the 3/4 bear mount and turkey fans in the living foom. They are on the wall in "my room" which is just a spare bedroom.
Luckily, my new bear rug was too large to fit on any of the walls in our little house, and my parents were kind enough to let me hang it in their back room overlooking the mountain where I shot him....
