A friend of mine told me the other day that he was already pumped about bow season, still 5 months away. I told him he was crazy, because it was just now warming up. I was in turkey mode, still trying to fill my last tom tag. Well, I don't guess he was crazy, because about the time that 3rd tom quit flopping after the shot my mind shifted gears towards deer season!

I just finished a fan mount for a friend of mine of his first turkey. It was supposed to be a free gift, but he brought me a Cabela's gift card as a token of his appreciation. So, I jumped right on Cabelas website and started looking for something to spend that money on before it burned a hole in my wallet. (the gift card never actually made it to my wallet) Since I've been shooting the neighbors' (my in-laws) target for the last couple of years, I decided to buy my own with the Cabela's bucks. I ordered a Morrell Yellowjacket field point bag. I'm used to shooting at $15 Walmart junk targets, so I'm pretty stoked about getting a nice one.

So yeah, it's deer mode again. As soon as it gets here, I'm going to try to start shooting my new bow every night. I bought it last October, shot a buck with it that first time out, and haven't really shot it much since.

I'm not really looking for any responses, just bs'ing to pass the time waiting for my new toy to show up on my doorstep!
