Default Sticking your stomach out...arching back.

I've noticed looking at many shooter's forms that they often have their stomach sticking out and back arched. I don't do this, and was curious if this is a sign of proper back tension posture? Is this the way our bodies should look at full draw if we are truly utilizing our back muscles? I played around with my form today when shooting, and when I tried arching my back and sticking my stomach out, my bow arm became quite unstable, although I did feel my back muscles at work much more than my normal form. I will get a picture of where I'm at form wise and post it in a bit to see what you guys think. In the meantime, is this normal posture, or am I missing something?

Ok, here are a few pictures I just snapped of me from the back and from the side. You can tell I'm not arching my back, nor am I sticking my stomach out. Am I doing something wrong?

ive noticed the same thing. the ansewr me and my wife got when we asked was that your relaxed and it helps your body sit on your hips so your body is more stable. also it helps keep your arm from getting tired

I think a lot of guys just havea big gut

But seriously (and I'm no form coach) it just seems like proper posture (like you are supposed to have when sitting in a chair) just makes for a more comfortable stance when you are shooting your bow. That's just my guess.

...So far, I have a great metabolism and I workout, so no gut...yet[8D]

What you say makes sense, and MOST of my body feels better when I intentionally arch my back, but my bow arm seems to become much more prone to movement. It might be a form issue somewhere else completely isolated from arching my back, who knows.

does this mean you got the bow issues worked out buddy? Also, have you spotted anything decent on the farm? In response to the thread....my gut sticks out....without arching my back........but I still shooting like Robin hood.
