A few friends and I shot the IBO Mid-Atlantic Challenge that was held @ Big Buck Archery Club.....about an hour from where I live, today.
Two fifteen target courses....and two totally different courses. The first was up and downhill the whole way.....and the back side course was more open shots .....but longer.
Everyone in my group shot hunter class. Center scoring rings counted as 11's. Frank (Brknarrow) and I got to shoot together again.....and had fun, as always.
Here's a few of the shots we faced, today.
Right off the bat....(maybe the 4th target)....we had a full strut turkey facing us from about 33 yds.
Next was a shot unlike any I've ever shot. Photos can't do the elevation change justice.....but if you'll note the angle of the bows......and then the guys retrieving the arrows....it'll give you a pretty good idea.
Guys retrieving arrows.....WAYyyyyy down and out there...

(Note the ladder)
All of with 11's......(OK..it only happened once

)
One of the most fun days I've had shooting a bow. Great group.....great course.....great fun. Don't have a clue how we finished.....and won't for a couple days. I ended up 11 down on 30 targets.....counting center of 10's as 11's (IBO). I had nine 11's for the day....and never missed a 10 ring by more than an inch all day. Could have been a great round.....but I ended up happy with my first IBO shoot showing.
