Default California DFG Gun Dog Clinic

The California Department of Fish and Game has published their 2005 schedule for Advanced Hunter Clinics. On June 4th at the 4 Seasons Hunt Club in Tehachapi there will be a one day Gun Dog Clinic.

This is a promotion written for the clinic:

At this clinic you will learn about gun dog training and hunting from some of the best in the field. Dez Young and his Llewellin Setter Dash from the Outdoor Life Network"™s television show Upland Days with Dash and Dez will be presenting Training from an Amateurs Perspective. Also on hand will be Bryce Mann who has over 24 years of experience in training gun dogs and is a member of Team Tritronics as one of their featured seminar trainers. Chuck Breslin the owner/operator of Four Paws Kennels will share with us his vast experiences as a breeder, trainer and field trial judge to help the novice to the most experienced better understand gun dog breeds, how to select a breeder, what to look for when picking a puppy and much more. Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine Danette Weich, who breeds, trains and hunts with pointers and retrievers, will discuss dog care to ensure your dog is in top condition for training/hunting and field first-aid so that you are prepared for the unexpected but quite common injuries dogs experience when working at peak performance. Dave Hamilton of Guns & Roosters Hunting Preserve will be on hand to talk about field considerations, gear & equipment and much more. Dennis Davenport Department of Fish and Game Captain will share with us the regulations that apply to training and hunting with a dog. Dennis Schulgen, General Manager of the 4 Seasons Hunt Club near Tehachapi will be our host for this clinic where we will have access to both field and pond for the live gun dog demonstrations. Space is limited and will fill very fast as this clinic will not only be very informative, it will also be very entertaining watching some great gun dogs in action"¦"¦.if you own a gun dog or are considering getting one, you do not want to miss this Advance Hunter Clinic.
