Default Help, Found a lost hunting dog

What is the best way to go about locating the owner of a hunting dog that just showed up at my property in Sloans Ridge, FL?

I don't live too far from the Green Swamp area and this Coonhound mix must have gotten lost and wound up here. Older bitch, not microchipped and a real hunting girl, by the looks of her. Please help. Is there anyplace where hunters would report a missing dog in the Green Swamp area?

Some things to try are
Find one of the local hunters and have him ask around if any one is missing a dog.
Take it to the local vet ,he/she may reconise it or know who would know
Place a add in the paper
Call the dog pound and see if anyone has ask about a dog.
Flyers with pic, if possible in local post office ,stores, pet food store ect
Hope you find the owner, I know I would be heartbroken if my Simmon would come up missing.

it is a sad thing to say ; but I have know people that this time of the year(end of the season) take there collor off the dogs and let them go.[:@][:'(][:@].

if she had no collor, then that may be what happened.hope not.you may check at the check station at green swamp to see if any one has came looking.if not follow the other post, that about all you can do.

good luck;and thinks for careing.
