Need advice on what type to use for a field ready dog that travels all over the midwest and west. What do you use, where do you get it, and do you use it year round?

I give my lab Heart Gaurd Plus year round . Also takes care of other worms .
You get it from a vet or a perscreption and get it form Dr Foster and Smith mail order or other mail order places.
Your dog will have to be tested for heartworm before it is given heartworm pills , I was told if it has heartworm it could kill it.
There is an other brands that are about the same .

Heartguard plus is good and that is what I would use but my lab won't eat it, it's the only thing he won't eat[]. Most dogs gobble them up. Instead I put him on Intercetor which he will eat.
