Default Tick problems

Hey guys

I live in Suffolk county NY, bad place for ticks! When i take my dog hunting , she gets full of ticks. I use advantage on her back.

But what does everyone do, any tricks to keep off the ticks?

Any suggestions are welcome.

thanx

I too use ADVANTIX, and I have had no problems with it. A friend of mine uses FRONTLINE PLUS because ADVANTIX didn't work on his dog, so maybe you should consider changing to frontline and see if that works. Also, are the ticks biting or are they just getting on your dog without biting him? The way these products are supposed to work is that once a tick comes in contact with the dogs hair it becomes poisoned and then it should die. Advantix and frontline will not repel ticks but they should kill the ticks before they have a chance to attach themselves to the dog. Hope you figure it out.

We use Bio Spot for fleas and ticks. ( We usually have about 9-13 dogs at any one time) And we have never had a problem with ticks. The ticks are pretty bad here (ohio), too.
