Default Beagles and Deer

I have a question. I have four beagle pups that run loose here at the house. My question is if I kill a deer and hang it up in the yard to clean it and cut it up, could that cause the pups to be attracted to deer? My dad says I shouldn't do it but I am not sure. I don't want to make my pups deer crazy, but I plan on putting some deer meat in the freezer at the same time. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Default RE: Beagles and Deer

I hunt deer with beagles,so I don't think that would do it. I have to train mine to run,so just cleaning one around them would give a problem.if you think it would put them in a kennel or dog box,or in the barn or somewhere for a few min. while you clean your deer.
JMHO.
