Default chews on pheasant

I have a 1 year old black lab who is a good pheasant dog. The only problem is that he doesn't always bring the pheasant back to me after I shoot it. Instead he runs off with the bird and starts to chew on it. Any tips on fixing this problem or helping me train him better will be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: chews on pheasant

Your dog needs to be Force Fetched. And obedience needs to be better -- HERE means here !

What training program (book or tape) are you following?
