Mt. view curs are nothing more than linebred kemmer curs so i am told, i would go with a good kemmer cur or original mt cur, most curs are good around children if brought up around children but there is always an exception to the rule. go to sqdogs.com there is a big debate on mt view curs on the message board right now

Hello Jimbob,

I have to tell ya, MT. Curs are not real good with children. But Black Mouth Curs are the best kid dogs you could find.

My dad raises black mouth cur and he uses them for hog, cugar, coon, hunting. They are also the best cowdogs(better than border collies). The males prefer women over men but that just means that they will be a little more gentle with women.

A better gaurd dog you could not ask for. A baby sitter and good hunting partner. If you would like more info on them just email me. I could go on about them all day as I grew up with about 10 of them being around me. Sure takes me back just talking about them...

When I was about 7 we had a female with a big litter of pups and I went out there to see them and she let me get right in the box with them. All of the females we had would let me get in the box with them but they wouldn't even let my dad come withing 10 feet of the box. lol.

My email is labgurl@dog.com
