Default Anyone use this?

Anybody use BioSpot for fleas and ticks? I can get it for less than $4 a tube, and my usual advantix is over $13 a tube. Monthly, this is a big difference. I know advantix is safe for other dogs to bite and play with treated dogs, but is BioSpot? How's it work? Thanks. -Mike

I personally use the k-9 Advantix and have had great results. I have heard many bad stories about some of the cheaper stuff. It is my belief that a few extra dollrs for a better product over the long haul doesn't mean much. If it isn't broke don't change it.

Somebody please correct me if i am wrong, but i think Biospot is an attempt tp mimic TopSpot, otherwise known as Frontline, a very effective Flea preventitive. Unfortunately, BioSpot is a pyrethrin based drug. Pyrethrins had their time once as insecticides, but they have been around so long that many bugs are now resistant to them. Many times they will "stun" the fleas but then they eventually come out of it and go right back to biting the dog. it is alot cheaper but not nearly as effective. The old saying holds true in this case- "you get what you pay for".

Use use Bio Spot on our kennel dogs and our bassett in the house. We have no fleas, and the ticks never latch on to them. Works really well for us.

I thought the same thing, how could a product that cheap work? But it does. I've been using it on my Springer all summer and no fleas ate all. She has had two ticks. I don't think this is too bad since I run her in the woods and fields every week in NJ which is full of them.
