does anyone know why Jake has turned into SNEEZY......he is one big sneeze and it's accompanied by green eye boogies....but that dog is constantly sneezin'.......my house seems to be clean, but maybe there's something he is allergic too......i just dont know, wondering if ya'll have ever had a sneezy in your lives and if so, what did you do ?......he might have to go see the doc......

sounds like he is allergic to something (maybe you) . LOL[],lets hope not.
you may have to take him to the vet. if it doesn't stop.

my new pup wants to scratch all the time.he doesn't have a single flea(not one).
we wash him regular,his skin is clean and soft.real fine hair.don't know???
I'm gonna try some head and sholders and see what happens.
He loves the water,he will try to eat the water out of the spiket or end of the hose.
I know all dogs scratch to some extent,????

that is what i was thinking too .......his eye boogies are gone which is good, but he still is a sneezin' fool.....you think he could be allergic to the food ? nah, i doubt it.....i'll have to shampoo the carpets again and see if that helps......i just dont know....i'll be making an appointment here real soon if he doesnt stop.....thanks for replying
i do know my buddies dogs and only eat lamb and rice because the get the itchies if they get other food.....i've used scalpicine , head and shoulders, denerx, etc. on my dogs and it seems to help when they get dry doggy skin......have fun and i hope your cure the itchies , goodluck

Huntnma- how does the dog act otherwise?? is he still active? is he eating normally?? does he have any nasal discharge, and is it out of one nostril or both?? he may have a foreign body in his nose, and that is what is causing the sneezing and eye discharge, especially if you also have nasal discharge just on one side. usually dog allergies manifest themselves as skin problems, especially itching. also, i would recommend against using human shampoo on your dog. it willl dry his skin out too much. better get him hecked out by the vet.

Has he been in an area with foxtails? As dogdr said he may have something in his nose. Foxtails inhaled in the nose can be fatal!

thanks ya'll..........i usually use doggie shampoo on them, but from time to time i have used the human stuff with good results.......i didnt know that about foxtails, but no,no foxtails,... no runny nose, just sneezies......his eye boogies were green, but now are almost completely gone,and they arent as green, more normal looking... he is full of himself....runs, plays, chews, jumps on you while youre sleeping just because he wants to give kisses.....he eats really well and is a drinking fool........i dont think that anything is stuck in there......he seems to do it more when he goes outside and comes in......he'll start it when he goes out and when he comes in, maybe he is allergic to the change of air, lol.....i just dont know........like i said , i'll probably bring him into the vet next week.....i have court today (witness) and then the weekend , so it'll have to wait...but he doesnt seem to be unhappy in any way......his doodie even looks healthy....lol......thanks ya'll so much......if ya'll can help me out , let me know....if not i'll let you know what the vet said next week he needs to go for heartworm prevention anyway......

Interesting presentation. As dogdr said allergies are unlikely. In a young dog, definitely an infection secondary to a foreign body or a virus is one of the more common causes. In middle-aged to older dogs, infections secondary to a tooth root problem or cancer become more likely. Definitely have your dog looked at by you vet. A simple antibiotic may be all that you need to fix your problems.
