Default dog sewage plants

This is a very touchy subject. I will have seven dogs by the end of this summer. Right now, washing down the kennels in no big deal but it may become one soon.

Does anyone have any ideas about dog sewage plants. I was thinking of somehow tieing in to the house sewage plant. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this.

Any help will be appreciated.

This post stinks! No really I know your predicament. I'm not sure of the legality of it in your area but I helped my father tap into his human sewer line years ago. It is pretty slick and as long as you add plenty of water the waste flows away no problem. Check with your local bylaws or don't if your so inclined. Again, it worked great for my Dad and all his dogs. I've yet to do it at my house but everytime I clean up I wish I had taken the time to do so.

sounds like it would work.
my kennel is to far from my house.I just built me another septic tank for my kennel.
I have 7 dogs right now and it has worked for the last two years ok.

I would not suggest tieing your dog sewage runoff to your septic system, I have had dogs all my life and there are 2 animals that the stool does not break down fast enough for a normal septic system that is dogs and pigs. I do not know why but they just dont, I am building a new kennel and I have designed a septic system that will work for dogs. to make the septic systen it is better to have a trough built into the front of your kennels or poured into the concrete. I am going to put a 4 inch pipe cut in half poured in the concrete for my trough and then the pipe will extend beyond the edge of the kennel 2 feet with reg whole pipe then *90 down into a 55 gal plastic barrel, from the plastic barrel there will be an overflow pipe near the top into another 55 gal barrel cut in half with the open side down, under the half barrel you put lime rock or gravel for a few feet to act as a dry well, everything except the pipe going into the top is below ground level, to the tank you can add a chemical that the sell at most major dog supply stores to help digest and breakdown the dogstool. I have seen quite a few of these septic systems that have been in place for years with no problems, im not sure if they are legal but the work!
