I hunt Rabbit with Beagles, I have now for almost 10 years and I love it, as a matter of fact I just got home from the Rabbit patch with my hounds and had a successful day. Good luck with your hounds.

I have never owned a Beagle - but some of my friends owned them, and when I was a younker we hunted a lot of Bunnies in southern Michigan. Sure do love to hear those pups run!!!
One of the guys had a little female he rescued, and she had been left out in the cold and I guess her vocal chords had frozen so when she barked on trail it just came out as a kind of squeak. She was one of the small Beagles and would go right into a big old brush pile after the rabbits and we would stand around the outside and shoot the bunnies as they ran out. Had some fun days back in the early 60's. I haven't heard a hound run since then and I still do miss it.
