Default Brown sores or scabs on eyes and nose

I noticed today after a pheasant hunt the my english springer spaniel had blood on his nose. I thought it may have been from the pheasant, but then I looked closer and noticed a little scabbing on top of his nose. I also noticed that around his eyes there are scab like marks on the outsides of his eyes.

Anyone ever see anything like this?

Thorns ? My dogs always seem to get cuts and scrapes upland hunting. Kinda scary sometimes when they get birdy and start busting thru the brush. Some times it looks like something out of a horror movie when thet get cuts on there ears or tongue.

That's what I have been hearing. Thanks! I'm going to take him to the vet anyway, and get him some tick protection as well.
