I have never trained a hog dog but I would say if she hunts good with the other lead dog at this point that is fine. IMO at six months she isn' t ready for the pressure of being a lead dog. She is still at the keep it fun stage rather than the business stage so to speak. I would wait at the very least six more months before putting that much pressure on her.

at 6 mo. she' s not ready to go it alone.she' s just having fun at the stage of training.
give her another 6 or 8 mo' s.if she is doing good with you other dog , she' s doing great.
just give her time and let her grow at her own rate.

I agree with the others keep hunting her with the other dogs before long she will take to it on her own. I find that dogs I train myself are alot better than the others I would not be surprized if she becomes your lead dog.

Good luck, Gabe
