Default Tracking dog

My black and tan hounds can track a coon really well but I don't want to infect my dogs on chasing deer trails... So what would you all recommend? I was leaning towards a family pet that would only be taught discipline and tracking, such as a Great Dane, or possibly a German Shepard.

Default RE: Tracking dog

Blue Lacy is the best dog you can get for tracking and is a great family dog!
