As far as I can tel, Retriever books and videos and training aids are for all breeds that bring your game back to you. Some breeds excel at this where other breeds whom do retrieve, excel at other traits. To say that a Springer can' t retrieve would be like saying a Lab can not flush a bird. You can always take something from every training aid that applies to your situation. Good Luck.

I don' t know much about Labs, I' ve only trained birddogs. I do know, however, you definitely should not use a retriever book to train a Brittany.
