Puppies need something to keep them busy. Pointers are especially active and need lots of exercise. I haven' t had a problem with any of my GSP' s digging, as long as they were getting plenty of exercise and playtime in with me. They dig out of boredom. The tricky part is finding something that will keep them busy while you' re not there.

About that digging dog! First of all do you have moles? How about mice?
Hunting dogs can smell them and hear them under ground so they dig.
If the dog is digging in the same hole time after time take the dogs feeces
and put it in the hole cover with dirt and he will stop digging there for sure!

Good hunting!
