Lab getting fixed

I am getting my 6 yr old lab neutered in the next couple weeks and was wondering if anybody could tell me about how long the recovery is until he can hunt again. I was always planning on raising pups with him, but never have and as he gets older I want to rule out any of the problems associated with his "boy Parts." Any help would be appreciated

He will most likely act completely normal within 24 hours after the surgery. Sometimes (depending on the dog and the type of drugs used) it may take a couple of days. You shouldn't hunt him until the sutures come out (7-10 days). Watch the licking of the incision.
