Default I need some ideas.

I have a beagle that will be turning 1 on May 16, and I'd like to get him where he'll bloodtrail for me. He's got intense drive and really loves to run after anything that moves(deer, rabbits, cats, mice, etc). He uses his nose so well, I'm sure he would be a fine tracker, I just need some ideas on how to get him there.

Default RE: I need some ideas.

I would try to focus him on a certain scent using breaking scents, so that he wont go chasing everything that moves.. Just what you want him to, teach him some basic obedience, then do some small drags in the yard, gradually getting bigger and more challenging.
