Default Avery Tru-Bird.... not impressed

Lord knows between a lab and a Golden we go through a few bumpers and so forth every year. I am, and my golden especially is, a big fan of the Dokkens dead-fowls... a bit pricey, but I think they help a bit with realism and Dutch vastly prefers that duck over a standard bumper... he'll fetch anything... but his attitude is easy to read.

Only issue with the Dokkens is, after training daily for a few months, they start to flat out stink like cat pee.. mostly thanks to dog drool and stagnant pond water I suspect.

I bought an Avery Tru-Bird... $5 less than a Dokkens... hard PVC designed to not soak up any stink.... good looking bird. Dutch likes it.... but Camber, the lab... hates it.

Long story short... had it two weeks... throw it out on the soccer pitch at the end of the street... lands in soft grass to boot.... flop.... head pops off.... not amused or impressed when a practically new dummy loses parts under less than stressful use.

Why not buy some 3"Avery Hex bumpers? I don't have much use for the Dokkens.

I have one of those Avery birds, and don't use it much. Max does love those Dokkens.
