Default Video of a CNM Affected Pup

Link supplied by Marilyn Fender

Labrador CNM affected pup --- So very vary sad.
And to think some people who advertise litters get upset when I scold them about not having any genetic testing.
If this doesn't convince them, nothing will.

That is so sad; reminds me of SM in my breed.

As you say, no need. If only there were a way of letting people know where those pet stores get their puppies or to convince them they are not getting a great deal buying from a BYB or broker. My wife got so mad once when someone told her our pups were too expensive and she could get a puppy out of the nerwspaper for less than 1/2 of what we wanted, she told the women to buy 2 so she would haveone for parts!

more an more field bred labs are showing up with CNM (centronuclear myopathy) the only way to get this under control is CNM certification.Labs are in high demand an their are breeders out their with a dog that have the abnormal gene. however it takes one from each parent to show the signs of CNM. the test may be around 50 to 100 dollers but its one more + point in your arsonal. an a small price to pay compared to the cost of time an training. before buying a dog ask if the has been tested an let them know you will have it done if they don't like find another breeder (you are the buyer)
