Default Deer Trailing Dog ?

Considering getting a deer trailing dog. What breeds should I consider? Any other info would be greatly appreciated.

I guess your talking about blood tracking wounded deer,my choice of breed is the germanwirehair(Drathaar). There are other continental breeds that blood track as well, such as germanshorthair(Kurzhaar),pudelpointer and so on.

the best I can recomend it a 13" to 15" beagle.it makes a great yard,or house dog plus a great blood trail dog.I have several and they love there job.
they are small enough to carry if need be,want pull you all around.great noses, good temperment, great with kids, and will love you to death.

Be sure to check local laws to see if such animals are legal to use.

Wirehaired Dachshund, mine has found 4 deer so far this season. All before he was 7 months old. Go to the Deer Search web site there is some good info there.
