Does anyone know of a good place to get pigeons for training my pointing dog?

Thanks!

Local feed mill. They'll be more than happy to let you catch 'em. I got some from my friends barn once. Look for the places that havethem and catch them yourself.

Where are you located...big city, small town??? I was also going to say a feed mill. Build yourself a trap and go get some pigeons!

I used to have a net on a 12 foot pole. I'd find a couple of bridges where they live and my buddy and I would go there at night and net them. We had a heck of a god time too.

We did too, Hell I hit those bridges myself now that I have a bunch of Pointers. SOmetimes the cops say hi, somethimes they kick me out. SOmetimes people say it about time the town did something about this (****-e)mess. I have the long pole net but found a ladder and small net is good for getting the baby birds about a month old. That way they are weaned and will home to my cage as soon as they can fly.
