Default Removing Skunk Scent

Any suggestions on skunk scent neutralizer? My Chessie snatched onethe other morning and got soaked. Happened a couple of years ago also. I scrubbed her three times w/ regular shampoo and it still took several weeks for scent to go away. Very annoying in a blind w/ a skunk smelling dog.

Luckily I have never been shot by a skunk but I have heard from numerous people that tomatoe juice is the best thing to use to get rid of the smell.

That's what I used and it worked great! The tomatojuice is a wives tale. I've never tried it but don't think it works as well.

Tomato Juice is what we used to use on our dog, he had to have several different baths. He was kind of a slow learner when it came to skunks. But back then the Internet was not around, might be much better concoctions these days. Although back then the Vet did recommend the tomato bath.
