Default Had a little scare yesterday!

Me and a buddy that i hunt with got permission to hunt a new farm yesterday and my 2yr old pointer male got caught in a snare. Luckily we werent in thick cover, and i seen him about 200yds away and he wasnt moving but he was wagging his tail. I called him to me and he just started jumping and turning circles. So then i knew he was hung up in something. I ran over there and he was hung in a snare around his neck. It was very very tight!!!!! Once i got there he calmed down enough for me to take it off. Boy was i scared.

I use snares all over the country to catch coyotes.I am verry clear with the clients that dogs will get caught in them, and they will have to do there best to regulate domestic traffic. In over 50 major jobs, ive caught 2 dogs. Both were unharmed. The good part is that if a dog is used to a leash, they wont pull too hard and choke themselves, they just sit and wait.Might be a good idea to carry a set of dykes in the field.
