Default Training Resources

I"ll be picking up my new French Brittany puppy in a couple of months. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good pointing and gun dog training resources?

Thanks!

I would recommend Bill Tarrant/Delmar Smith book which is considered the bible of modern methods. Another would be Paul Long's book. I would not use West's book.

Get out to different field trials venues. They have people always willing to share information.

It is your Dog do what you like just make sure YOU GET THE DOG IN BIRDS
not someone else.
NO PRESSURE NO RESPONSE
let the dog get into birds
Then next seasom have the dog trained by someone who will get the dog in birds
end of advice
