Default new dog

my dad just bought a black lab pup and we would like to know if this is a good dog to have for pheasant and waterfowl hunting. we live in central minnesota and hunt from late september to late december. the temps can get pretty chilly as you might already know. we just want some info as to whether or not this is a good dog to have for what we will be doin. thanks for you help.

I breed raise and train hunting dogs and have found labs will do anything you ask of them if given the proper time and attention to their training.

Should be a great dog for that type of hunting given the right training. Temps shouldn't bother the dog either. I hunt my lab in icy water and he loves it. Neoprene vests are a good investement for colder water though.
