I just wanted to warn anyone in the Northern Illinois area that the ticks are already out. I found one crawling on my dog and picked one out of the ear this past Friday. The scary thing is that they just found a case of Lyme disease in Cook county. We have never had to worry about it much in this area, but it looks like times are changing.
Been out in SE Wisconsin for about 3 weeks removed several from my dog and a couple off of me. Am trying some K-9 Advantix very pricey $163.00 for 12 doses. The claims are that it will kill feeding ticks. In January had to have my Springer treated for LYMES Disease. Watch out for this problem.
