Default Pups feedings

Ok I know you all hate seeing my post over and over...I got the new pup started on IAMS, large breed puppy food and have just put the bowl in her kennel along with the water. Should I continue this habit or set them out of the kennel (maybe another room) and how much should she be getting each day. BTW She is a black lab

I always keep the food/water away from the crate, in my opinion this makes it easier to house train the pup (and easier to clean the crate). Try to keep the food/water where you can see the pup while it is eating, because shortly after it has eaten/drank it will need to relieve itself. This has worked fine for me so far.
Good Luck, and enjoy that new pup!

you don't leave the food in the crate. Also have you started her on a schedule of when she should eat? The breeder recommened 3 times a day at like 7am, 12 pm and 6pm of 1 cup of dry food. My pup eats purina pro plan and she has had perfectly normal steady growth.

I used Nutro Natural choice Large Breed Puppy for my EP. I started off with feeding him 1 cup three times a day. I increased it after a couple months to 2 cups 2 times a day. He is turning 1 y/o on Thursday, and has just moved onto the Nutro High Energy Breed adult food. He is 55lbs, well cut, and has a very shiny coat. I have tried giving him more, and he doesn't eat it. This amount seems to fill him up and still keep him very lean looking. It probably helps that I let him out to run outside fro about an hour each day too. Good luck with your new pup, and don't ever worry about asking too many questions.
